It's been eons since my last post. Could be due to the lack of interesting things I've run into, or my laziness to write them down. Probably more of the latter.
So earlier today an interesting tweet showed up on my Twitter.

Typesetting LATEX in Grace
After such a long hiatus, I'm back (:
Finally I found something I deem to be quite worthy to be (b)logged here. *peace
I've been writing my undergraduate thesis (skripsi) using LATEX. It's a convenient way to produce sophisticated formulae. And I produce graphs using Grace (a.k.a. xmgrace, formerly xmgr), which has been long used for publication quality graphs. Then, why not combine the two?

Quantum computing now a reality
Last night's "random walk" on the Internet awarded me with some shock and awe. While looking for something else on the NASA website, I discovered about the quantum computing project at NASA's QuAIL, where they are installing a "512-qubit D-Wave Two quantum computer".

Start of file
After such a long consideration, I decided to start (b)logging on the cloud. My primary objective is to develop expressiveness in my writing, contrary to that introvert in me.
I'll be writing about things I deem interesting, including (but not limited to):
Note: I'll be writing in English, simply because I want to practice my English writing skills, but I'll respond in Bahasa Indonesia too...
I'll be writing about things I deem interesting, including (but not limited to):
- general physics (well, that follows from my college major)
- condensed matter physics (some stuff from my current research)
- high performance computing (as in Fortran 95, LAPACK, OpenMP, and so on)
- linux (I prefer Ubuntu)
- LaTeX (the typesetting system, not rubber)
- campus life, or any remains of it
- life in Jakarta, Depok, or anywhere in between
- Indonesian culture
- religious tolerance
- Christianity (no religious debate, please)
- and finally, my personal rants (*peace)
Note: I'll be writing in English, simply because I want to practice my English writing skills, but I'll respond in Bahasa Indonesia too...
